Student Proficiency - Associate in Science Degree

APA majors take 21 liberal arts credits including College level English, Art Theory and math. The
major provides a progressive sequence of courses to meet Quinsigamonds general education
core curriculum goals. Skill sets are measured as career preparation for job placement and
transfer in a series of Capstone courses containing measurable assessments for designated
general education component proficiency.

Multiple Perspectives - The College offers a variety of courses
emphasizing diverse perspectives. Applied Arts faculty make a
concerted effort to include a balance of perspectives to promote
world citizenry and a global view within required reading and
support materials. The APA program has designated APA 285
Webmaster Production Processes as a capstone course
designed specifically to encourage a diverse Global perspective.
The Applied Arts Program transfer rate sees 50% of our graduates matriculate to state colleges and universities.
Four year programs exist at Framingham State College, Fitchburg State College, Westfield State College, and
Salem State College, Massachusetts College of Art and each University of Massachusetts campus.
