Welcome! Thank you for visiting QCC’s Institutional Effectiveness Portfolio.

The mission of Quinsigamond Community College is to provide affordable, accessible, and quality instruction to meet the diverse educational needs of the people who live and work in Central Massachusetts. To do the best job that we can, we have been working hard to sharpen our delivery in everything we do-honing our curriculum, improving our facilities, upgrading our equipment, strengthening our institutional systems, and developing faculty and staff expertise.

Ultimately, our effectiveness as an institution will be measured by the success of our learners and graduates and by our contribution to the economic health and vitality of our region. As we move through this period of institutional growth and development, we are setting high standards for performance excellence and are committed to a systematic review and reflection of our practices at every level of the institution.

This electronic portfolio is initiating campus wide dialogue and generating active interest in this reflective process. Our portfolio is broadly organized around the themes reflected in the standards for accreditation as defined by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools & Colleges (NEASC). The Division of Academic Affairs has taken the lead in developing its effectiveness portfolio, using its nationally acclaimed Internal Program Review (IPR) process as the foundation for its work.

In September 2002, I charged the newly formed Task Force on Institutional Effectiveness to define a process parallel to the IPR that will guide diverse areas of the College through a meaningful analysis of their own effectiveness using professional standards and best practices as benchmarks. I am proud of our accomplishments to date and look forward to setting and meeting the highest possible performance goals across the campus.

Thank you for visiting.
